How to sign up, sign in, and use the site — as a classmate or as an organizer.

Member Guide

Getting Started

The site is built for the whole batch, and most of it is only visible once you’re signed in as a member. Signing up takes a minute and is reviewed by an organizer before you get access.

Signing up

  • Tap Member Sign In / Join at the top of the site, then choose Join.
  • If your name is already on the attendee roster, select it from the list — this links your account to your existing record.
  • If you’re not on the roster yet, choose “I’m not on the list” and add a short note so organizers can identify you.
  • Add your current location — it's required so organizers can tell real signups apart from spam.

Approval and first login

  • An organizer reviews every signup and approves it — usually quick, but not instant.
  • Once approved, you'll be given a shared default password to sign in with, and asked to set your own on first sign-in.
  • Organizers and existing admins who sign up simply use their existing admin password — no extra step needed.

My Profile

Click your name in the top-right corner (or the Sign In tab on mobile) to open My Profile. You can update your own details any time:

  • Batch/year, email, phone (at least one of email or phone is required)
  • Last class at SDA, group/stream, current location and address
  • Birthday and Anniversary date — both optional. Adding one shows your name (not your birth year) on the Celebrations section when the day is close.

Photo Gallery

Tap Take a Photo / Add a Reunion Moment to post a photo. On a phone this opens your camera directly; you can also pick an existing photo from your gallery. Add a caption and, optionally, an event name, location, year, and tag classmates who are in the photo. New photos are reviewed before they go public. You can also request to be tagged in someone else’s photo with “+ Tag yourself.”

Memorable Moments & Celebrations

Share a longer story — a school memory or a life update — with an optional cover photo and classmates tagged in it. The Celebrations section shows upcoming birthdays and anniversaries across the batch, plus a running list of new members who’ve recently joined.

Autograph Book

Every classmate has their own autograph page — tap the small autograph icon next to a name in Attendees to open it. Leave a message (writing prompts are there if you’re not sure where to start) with an optional photo. Messages appear right away unless flagged for a quick review.

Teachers

A separate page (linked in the navigation) organized by standard and section. Every teacher’s name is clickable and opens a tribute page with their photo, notes, and memories shared by classmates. You can also add a teacher who isn’t listed yet — new entries go through a quick organizer review.

A Note on Moderation

Gallery photos, memorable moments, teacher entries added by members, and any autograph or teacher memory message that trips a soft profanity check are held for a quick organizer review before they appear publicly. This keeps the space warm and free of clutter without slowing most contributions down.

Admin Guide

Signing In

Admin sign-in is completely separate from member sign-in — go to /admin and sign in with your phone number and admin password. A new admin starts with a shared default password and is asked to set their own on first sign-in.

If your phone number also matches a member account, that member can sign in using your admin password instead of a separate member password — kept in sync automatically.

Dashboard Tabs

  • Notifications — pending member requests waiting on your review, and a log of everyone recently approved with a direct link to their profile.
  • Pending Approvals — profile change requests, gallery photos, photo tag requests, and Memorable Moments submissions, all in one queue.
  • Member Requests — approve or reject new member signups.
  • Autograph Moderation and Teacher Memories — messages flagged by the soft profanity screen land here as pending review.
  • Blocked Words — manage the terms that trigger the review queue above.
  • Teachers — approve teacher entries added by members.
  • Attendees & Payments — the full roster: attendance, payment status and amounts, contact details, profile content.
  • Organizers, Agenda, Gallery Metadata, Reminders, Admin Group — standard content management for each area of the site.

A Note on the Member/Admin Bridge

The two login systems are deliberately kept separate under the hood, but an organizer or admin who signs up as a member is auto-approved immediately (skipping the review queue) and signs in with their existing admin password. This is the one place the two systems intentionally overlap.
